Lady Gaga has paid homage to idol David Bowie in a very permanent way.

The pop superstar has got a brand new tattoo of the late singer’s face on the side of her body ahead of her Grammy’s tribute.

Gaga shared a video of the inking on her Snapchat account on Sunday night, before she posted a snap of the finished design.

The singer will lead a tribute to the British star during Monday night’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Crediting Bowie as one of her biggest influences, Gaga has adapted her arranged set to include a medley of his greatest hits.

Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich told the New York Times that the tribute will last “six or seven minutes’ and include ‘three or four’ of his best-known songs.

“It’s going to be a true homage to who David was, particularly musically, but not ignoring his influence on fashion and pop culture in a broader way,” he added.

Other performers at the forthcoming awards ceremony include Adele, Kendrick Lamar and Ellie Goulding, while Gaga is up for Best Song.

A David Bowie tribute has also been planned for this year’s BRIT Awards, which will take place on February 24.
