Kylie Minogue has shared a series of cute childhood throwback snaps as she approaches her 50th birthday next week.

The Australian superstar turns 50 on May 28 and is helping get into the party spirit by taking a trip down memory lane.

Having already posted a shot taken by her Uncle from her childhood, Minogue returned to Instagram once again on Friday to share a high school snap, her early acting career and her first record.

Posting the trio of images, she wrote: “1978-88 - Primary and high school, done!

“Started acting and released my first record. #KylieGoldenYears.”

The first shot showed a young Minogue with her hair in bunches dressed in her mint green school uniform, alongside a board reading “Camberwell High School. Year 7R, 1980”.

The next image was of her promo shot from popular soaps Neighbours, in which she starred as Charlene Robinson from 1986 to 1988.

Minogue’s last image was off her debut album cover, the self-titled 1988 release that reached number 1 in the UK.

Minogue released her latest album, Golden, earlier this year, saying that she was “overwhelmed” when she reached the top of the charts.

Speaking to Official Charts Company about her win, she explained: “I don’t know where to start… Thank you to everybody who has been involved in getting Golden to Number 1.

“I am so overwhelmed, happy, proud, emotional and very, very thankful and grateful. Much love and many, many, many thanks.”
