Kim Kardashian has picked up an award in honour of the recent impact she’s had on social media.

While her husband Kanye West might be more used to picking up Grammys, the reality star has been awarded a Webby after she ‘broke the internet’ with her nude selfie earlier this year.

The 35-year-old was on hand to collect the prize at the ceremony in New York on Monday night, vowing that there was more to come.

Accepting the trophy in front of a room full of media folk, Kardashian kept things short and sweet with her speech.

Taking to the podium, the TV star said just five words: “Nude selfies until I die.”

Kardahsian is the first ever recipient of the newly-created ‘Break The Internet’ award, which honours ‘bold and creative’ use of online platforms.

A statement released on the awards’ website, read: “The Webby Awards are excited to honour Kim Kardashian West with the inaugural Webby Break The Internet Award for her unparalleled success online.

“It would be difficult to underestimate the importance of Kim Kardashian West's impact on the Internet.”

Kardahsian divided the internet earlier this year when she posted a picture of herself in the nude, censored with just two black strips.

While many people saw the post as a feminist statement, others dismissed it as being sensationalist and vulgar.

Kardashian was joined at the ceremony by Jessica Alba, who picked up the prize for Entrepreneur of the Year and Lena Dunham who won the Special Achievement of the Year award.
