Kelly Brook has revealed she is proud of her figure as she approaches 40, saying she has stopped putting pressure on herself to look a certain way.

The former glamour model, 38, said she likes to keep fit, but is “embracing” getting older.

Speaking to Now magazine she said: “I think I’m embracing getting older and not looking fabulous all of the time. The work I do has changed – I’m doing a lot more daytime TV and fewer lingerie and swimwear shoots.

“I’m just ageing and changing, and while I try to look my best, I don’t put pressure on myself.”

Brook said her boyfriend Jeremy Parisi motivates her to stay active by dragging her out for a run.

She said: “He drags me out all the time to go running, and he’s really good at motivating me.

“But in some nice afternoon light, standing on a beach in a bikini, I don't think I look too bad for a girl who's nearly 40.”

Brook recently revealed that she got rejected after popping the question to Parisi while holidaying in Antigua.

Parisi turned down her proposal, claiming there were too many people around.

Speaking to OK! she said: “When we were in Antigua and the sun was setting and we were up at Shirley Heights I said to Jeremy: ‘Will you marry me?’ and he said: ‘Be quiet there are people around!’

“So I tried to propose but he said it was too busy and told me to be quiet. I’ve asked him, but it wasn’t private enough.”

Brook said she didn’t feel taken aback by the rejection, saying they’re both happy to “go with the flow”.
