Justin Bieber gave Manchester University students the surprise of their lives when he gatecrashed one of their club nights.

The pop superstar, who’s more used to hanging out in swanky LA clubs, put in an appearance at Tiger Tiger on Tuesday night and took over the DJ booth.

Having stormed off stage at Manchester Arena a few nights before, the Canadian singer seemed keen to make it up to his fans by showing up to Taboo Tuesdays at the cheap and cheerful venue.

During the night off from his Purpose World Tour, Bieber shocked party-goers as he joined the throng on the dancefloor, before playing two brand new tracks.

“It was absolute carnage when Justin walked in with his entourage just after midnight,” an onlooker told The Sun.

“He was with around 20 people and some of the Manchester Hockey team who he’d been hanging out with earlier in the evening in Altrincham.”

They added: “Rather than just stick to the VIP area he was up partying with people and jumped into the DJ booth to play two new tracks and then left just after 3AM by the fire exit.”

According to reports, Bieber debuted brand new track Close To You for the uni crowd.

Predictably, students were blown away by the A-list addition to their night out, with one person writing on Twitter: “BIEBER WENT TO TIGER TIGER I MEAN IS HE OK?”

“Justin Bieber was at f****** tiger tiger last night and I was there and didn't even bloody see him because I was too drunk, what a waste,” wrote another.

The superstar stormed off stage during his gig in the city earlier this week after saying that the crowd were screaming too loudly.

The Canadian singer insisted he wasn't being an "a*******" but simply wanted to connect with his fans.

"I want to connect with you,” he said as he returned to the stage. “The point of the no screaming thing is that when I’m looking at you in the eyes you know that we’re actually having a moment and having connection.

"So it’s not that I’m being an a****** it simply me just wanting to have a moment."
