James Corden has claimed that Kanye West bailed twice on Carpool Karaoke.

According to the Late Late Show host, the rapper is keen to take part in the famous segment, but has a seriously hectic schedule.

While the superstar will shoot the sing-a-long ‘eventually’, Corden can’t seem to tie him down.

In a new interview with GQ, he said: “Kanye has been booked to do [it] twice now but both times something came up.

“He'll do it eventually... He wants to do it.”

To apologise for cancelling his appearance at the last minute, Corden has revealed that West sent him a little present.

According to the British presenter, West sent him three dozen roses “arranged in the shape of a cube” as an apology.

Corden has had a number of high-profile stars including Adele, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder and Michelle Obama in his passenger seat over the last year.

Thanks to the phenomenal success of the segment, Apple has just bought the rights to turn Carpool Karaoke into a series.

Produced by CBS Television Studios and Fulwell 73, which is owned by the Late Late Show’s Ben Winston, the show will run for 16-episodes.

But it seems that Corden, who is co-credited with coming up with the Carpool Karaoke concept, will not be involved with the new show.

Apple’s Eddy Cue has said: “We love music, and Carpool Karaoke celebrates it in a fun and unique way that is a hit with audiences of all ages."
