Jameela Jamil has hit back at the Kardashian sisters after the famous family responded to her comments over their paid promotion of diet products, claiming that they are profiting from “the blood and diarrhoea of teenage girls”.

The Good Place star has frequently called out the reality stars for posting adverts for weight loss products, and recently branded Khloe Kardashian “irresponsible” for sharing an ad for meal replacement shakes.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, the family shrugged off Jamil’s criticism, with mother Kris Jenner claiming that they “don’t live in that negative energy space” and that “90 percent of people will be really excited about the family and the journey and who we are”.

Khloe said that she shares her workouts on Snapchat so her followers can exercise with her, telling the Times: “Well, listen, I am showing you what to do, silly person, 15 repetitions, three times, here’s the move.”

Her elder sister Kim went on to reveal that she is focused on “work that is really easy that doesn’t take away from our kids,” and said that she is “going to get backlash for almost everything”.

Jamil quickly hit back at the family in a series of tweets, revealing that she had also been given the “same opportunities” to promote diet products, but had chosen not to on principle.

“Essentially, ‘f*** the young, impressionable people, or those struggling with eating disorders, we want the money,’” she wrote.

“I have been given these same opportunities to flog this stuff, and I don’t do it, so they don’t have to. Thank you, next.”

“Their pockets are lined with the blood and diarrhea [sic] of teenage girls…,” she added in a later post.

When one Twitter user suggested that it is “not up to the Kardashians or the Jenner[s] what people spend money on,” Jamil took issue with their point in a sarcastic tweet.

“Yeah DUMB teenage girls with eating disorders,” she replied. “Be smarter. This is your fault little girls. Shame on YOU not the grown billionaire adults preying on our insecurity and fear. Preying on the patriarchal value that women are only valuable if their aesthetic meets societal standards.”

Standard Online has contacted representatives for the Kardashian family for further comment.

Jamil went on to highlight the “irony” of the fact that she initially started her body positive I Weigh campaign “in a post DEFENDING the Kardashians saying they shouldn’t be reduced to nothing more than a number on a weighing scale”.
