Noel Fielding and Lliana Bird have sparked speculation that they are gearing up to welcome their first child together.

The long-term couple raised eyebrows after they stepped out to support Gizzi Erskine at the launch of Tanqueray No. TEN on Tuesday night.

Bird appeared to be sporting a baby bump underneath her dungarees and reportedly swerved alcohol at the event, according to the Daily Mail.

The couple have yet to comment, but fans were quick to tweet their excitement at the prospect of Fielding becoming a father.

One Twitter user posted: “HOLY S*** NOEL FIELDING IS GOING TO BE A DAD.”

Another tweeted: “Omg I'm actually hoping the gossip about Noel Fielding is true, I remember an interview from a few years ago saying how much he wanted to be a dad so I hope for his sake it’s true.”

Fielding, 44, and Bird, 36, have been dating for seven years. The notoriously private couple live together in north London.

Fielding won over a legion of new fans after he took over presenting duties alongside Sandi Toksvig on The Great British Bake Off last year.

But he faced criticism after he was shown emerging from a fridge to deliver a line.

The skit sparked 55 complaints to TV watchdog Ofcom after some viewers claimed he was setting a dangerous example by encouraging younger viewers to copy him.

In a statement Ofcom said: “We assessed complaints that a scene in this programme was potentially dangerous and could be imitated by children.

“We found that the scene was very brief and occurred later in the programme, when younger children were least likely to be watching.”

Fielding and Toksvig replaced Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc after the show moved from the BBC to Channel 4.

Evening Standard Online has contacted Fielding's representative for comment.
