Holly Willoughby falls victim to Bradley Walsh’s ‘Audrey’ prank on This Morning

Holly Willoughby was left red-faced on today’s edition of This Morning – and it wasn’t due to one of her and Phillip Schofield’s naughty double-entendres, for a change.

The presenter, 39, was shocked after the ITV daytime show’s phone in seemingly went awry when a man called Roger claimed to be struggling to home-school his son.

As he was talking, the doorbell rang, which lead Roger to repeatedly shout for his wife Audrey to open the door – and Willoughby to giggle.

Later on in the show, as Willoughby went on to explain to viewers that This Morning had rang back to give further advice, co-host Schofield, 58, had to interrupt.

“Nicely done, but it wasn’t genuine,” he said, failing to conceal his glee. “You’ve been done again. It was Bradley Walsh.”

It transpired Walsh, 59, had called in the show alongside his son Barney, 22, as part of their new show – which they are filming from the safety of their own shed.

“It was Barney’s idea to ring you up and try and prank call you,” Walsh said in a video link.

The Chase presenter pretended to be the embittered Roger, while his son used a fake doorbell to interrupt the phone-in.

“I hate you all!” Willoughby laughed. “You are so naughty!”

This is not the first time gullible Willoughby has fallen for an on-screen trick.

In a brutal April Fool’s Day wind-up back in 2019, the presenter was almost in tears when a guest stormed out of a make-over segment, then crashed their car on the way of the studio.

While Schofield pretended to cut to an ad-break, he then turned to Willoughby and told her it was a prank.

“I was really panicking, oh my God!” she said. “You - I can't swear.”
