Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez has shared a heartwarming tribute to his pregnant girlfriend Gemma Atkinson.

The dance professional praised his partner for “always supporting” him and letting him know he is “special and loved” even when she is feeling “tired” and “sick” while expecting their first child.

Posting a stunning photo of Atkinson bathed in sunlight with her wet hair slicked back, he wrote: “So today I want to thank @glouiseatkinson for always supporting me, making me feel special and loved.

“It’s one of those days we all have when I feel like s***. I’m tired from all the traveling and shows especially this last weekend, I only slept 5h last night and today, I had a full day of rehearsals.

“My back in [sic] killing me i want to sleep, I’m hungry and I miss gem… So yeah moody and grumpy man…

“I’ve been moaning to her all day long like she doesn’t have enough already being pregnant and growing our baby inside of her, not sleeping properly for the past months being tired, sick and with her kidney infections, and all the extra things that no one knows about but us.”

He went on to bemoan the fact that he is “not there to help” at the moment due to his busy touring schedule, before telling Atkinson that she will be an “awesome mum.”

“Thank you for always making me smile and feel better,” he wrote. “Can’t wait to see you on your mummy duties. You’re gonna be an AWESOME MUM I love you!!!”

Atkinson responded to the sweet post by reassuring Marquez that they will “always be there for each other,” writing: “Can’t always be there with each other, but will always be there for each other. PS. I’ll remind you of this post when I’m in labour breaking every bone in your hand.”

The couple, who met on the 2017 series of Strictly Come Dancing, announced that they are soon to become parents in February, sharing a photo of their pet dogs wearing signs which read “Guess what… mum’s pregnant! We’re going to be big brothers!”

The pair have since shared a string of candid updates from the pregnancy with their social media followers.
