Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik ‘rekindle romance’ as they share passionate kiss months after split

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have sparked rumours that they have rekindled their romance just two months after announcing their split.

The former couple were spotted sharing a passionate kiss on the street in New York on Sunday, two weeks after the British pop star was seen leaving her city apartment.

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Hadid and Malik can be seen locking lips after heading out together for coffee.

The Pillow Talk singer split from the Victoria’s Secret model in March this year having dated for over 18 months.

In a statement posted on Twitter, Hadid said: “There is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years.“I’m forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared. I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for.”

Hadid appeared to be open to a possible future reconciliation, finishing: “As for the future, whatever’s meant to be will always be.”

Malik said: “Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend," Malik wrote on Instagram.

"She has such an incredible soul. I'm grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all."

Malik was reportedly in the process of re-writing his second solo album to incorporate songs about the split.
