Gemma Collins told how she will not stand to be the “fat joke” on Dancing on Ice.

The TOWIE star, who has been partnered with professional Matt Evers, has warned viewers not to underestimate her.

“Everyone thinks I’m the fat joke on the show but whatever’s going to happen in my life, I can do this,” she told the Sun. “And I’m going to prove every f**** out there wrong. People will be eating their words.

“When I first started, I couldn’t even cross my legs over. I was like, ‘Oh no, my legs are too big,’ but now they cross over fine. I think people will be impressed with what I can do.”

The 37-year-old star added: “I’m not worried about injuries. I’m insured, actually, for a couple of million, so if I do have an accident, it sort of does me a favour, if you know what I mean. But I don’t want to.”

In a teaser video for the upcoming series, Collins declared that she is “not here to take part I’m here to take over”.

Speaking to Evers in the clip, she said: “Opening night, I want to do the splits, I want to do a couple of spins and I want fireworks.

“Torvill and Dean you better take a step to the left because I’m about to win the Bolero Cup.”

Collins, who revealed she has dropped a dress size since training, is one of 12 celebrities taking to the rink in January.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan, Grease legend Didi Conn and X Factor star Saara Aalto are all set to lace up their skates in battle for the coveted trophy.
