Gemma Collins’s latest Dancing on Ice fall has already provided Twitter with plenty of quality meme material.

Hoping to impress after a high profile spat with judge Jason Gardiner during the previous week’s show, the TOWIE star and her skating partner Matt Evers took to the ice during with a routine to Celine Dion’s classic power ballad, It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.

The 37-year-old managed to pull off the majority of her moves with aplomb, but she suffered a slip-up during the final moments of the dance – and unfortunately ended up face-planting the ice.

Luckily, Collins wasn’t injured, and chose to soothe the shock of falling flat on her face with a curry and “six large brandies for the pain,” according to an Instagram Story posted by her boyfriend James Argent.

This isn’t the first time that Collins has suffered a major fall on live TV. The GC memorably took a tumble during the Radio One Teen Awards in 2017, while presenting the Best TV show trophy to the cast of Love Island.

Unaware that a trap door had opened in the stage (which would allow show contestants Jamie Jewitt, Marcel Somerville and Amber Davies to collecting their prize) Collins stepped backwards and fell down.

Social media users quickly got to work turning Collins' fall into a series of unmissable memes (or mey-mays, as Collins herself would brand them), so it's no surprise that Twitter has had a similarly hilarious response this time around.

Some viewers made a series of football analogies, suggesting that Collins fall could rival "diving" in the Premier League.

Others were inspired by her choice of Celine Dion soundtrack and made an inevitable Titanic mash-up.

Collins' slip-up could be applied to a number of relatable scenarios, from "falling" in love a little too hard, to that sinking end-of-weekend feeling...

Some even praised the GC for selflessly providing us with brand new meme material.

Given her tendency to embrace the "mey-mays" - she famously posted a National Accident Helpline advert edited to include her face after her Teen Awards fall - here's hoping that Collins is seeing the funny side.

Dancing on Ice is on ITV, Sunday at 6pm
