Give
container plants
Sow hardy annuals into the ground, including climbers and scramblers: nasturtiums, sweet peas, runner beans.
Keep a vigilante eye on roses; keep greenfly off buds and remove any diseased leaves.
Buy plugs of bedding plants to grow on under cover for summer display.
Plant major shrubs or trees while there is still moisture in the ground.
Start a regular watering and feeding programme for containers: tomato feed for fruit and flowers, seaweed feed for foliage plants.
