Fetty Wap decided to treat shoppers by showering them with money at a New Jersey shopping centre.

The rapper – real name Willie Maxwell II – was out shopping with his daughter, Zaviera, at the Garden State Mall in Paramus when he threw $2000 dollars over a balcony.

“Got to see my daughter today, took her shoppin’ and I was so happy I threw 2K in the mall never no who needed it,” he tweeted.

Unsuspecting shoppers started screaming, with some quickly grabbing their phones to capture the moment on camera.

One excited fan tweeted a video alongside the caption: “Fetty Wap was at the Garden State Plaza mall throwing money.”

Another compared him to Santa Claus, writing: “Fetty Wap walked thru the GSP mall in New Jersey and threw money like Santa Claus throws gifts. He loves his fans.”

It’s not the first good deed that the Trap Queen rapper has done of late.

Earlier this month, Wap – who lost his right eye to congenital glaucoma – inspired 10-year-old Jayden Vaden to step out without his prosthetic eye.

Commenting on an Instagram post of Jayden – who lost his eye to retinoblastoma, a rare eye cancer – Wap wrote: "All I wanna do is show people that it's not how you look or what you see — it's how you see it and what you're looking for from yourself," said the rapper, whose eponymous debut album drops next week. "I appreciate his confidence."
