Fearne Cotton has given birth to a daughter named Honey, announcing the news on her Twitter account.

The presenter and her musician other half Jesse Wood, who already have two-year-old son Rex, revealed the addition to their family on Tuesday.

Cotton, 34, wrote on Twitter: “Jesse and I are over the moon and buzzing with love, as our baby daughter Honey Krissy Wood came into the world this morning.”

Back in May, the presenter stepped down from her role at Radio One, but admitted that she wouldn’t be giving up work any time soon.

She told The Mirror: “People do want to know what I'm doing next and this is genuinely the first time that I've not known. It's quite liberating.

“Just because I'm stopping radio doesn't mean that I'm going to be a stay at home mum.

She added: "Not that there's anything wrong with that. But for me, I love my job,so I couldn't ever imagine just being a mum. I need to work and I love to work.

“We'll see what happens next but I genuinely don't know."

Discussing how different her second pregnancy has been , the star recently told The Express:

“First time round you feel so unbelievably out of control because you just don’t know if you’re making the right decisions, whereas this time I’m learning to listen to my instincts a lot more.

“It’s slightly nerve-wracking because we’ve got the first child and it’s about to all change – but it’s ever-changing with kids anyway. Just when you get over one hurdle, then there’s another one to get over.”
