Ewan McGregor’s daughter Clara has hit back at claims she branded her dad an “a*******” in a scathing Instagram post.

Replying to a fan who joked she should “keep her away from her boyfriends”, Clara replied: “Nah I keep her away from a****** men who leave my goddess of a mother (sic).”

But the model has now denied that she was referring to her dad in the post, slamming the idea she was “attacking” him following her parents' split in 2018.

Writing on her Instagram stories, Clara raged: “Let’s make one thing clear. I was not attacking my dad or calling him [an] a******.

“I was simple saying she deserves someone who isn’t one. Don’t believe everything you read (sic).”

Christopher Robin actor Ewan and Clara's mother Eve Mavrakis divorced last year after 22 years of marriage, with Ewan already having moved on with actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Last year, Clara made her feelings about her dad’s new partner clear when she branded her a “piece of trash” on a fan account for the actress.

Commenting on a photo of the Fargo star, she wrote: “Most beautiful and talented woman on earth? Oh man y’all are delusional. The girl is a piece of trash x.”

She told The Times: “There had been a lot building up to it and a lot to deal with, not to make excuses or anything, but, yeah, it wasn’t my finest moment. I said how I felt and I didn’t want to apologise for it.

“It wasn’t the right way to go about things, but it’s a hard thing to wrap your head around when you feel you had this idea of what the family unit is and then to have that shift. It’s very weird.”
