Ewan McGregor’s daughter Clara has posted a family throwback snap as her parents get ready to divorce after 22 years of marriage.

The 22-year-old model shared a picture of herself with her mother and father on her birthday, saying that she was feeling “nostalgic”.

The 1990s snapshot, showing Clara as a baby with McGregor and mother Eva Mavrakis, was simply captioned: “Twenty-two and nostalgic.”

Last month it was reported that the Trainspotting star, 46, had filed for divorce from Mavrakis, 51, citing irreconcilable differences.

Speaking to the Sun following the news, Mavrakis said: “It’s disappointing and upsetting but my main concern is our four children are OK.”

McGregor is now dating Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, with the pair going public with their romance in October last year.

The Star Wars actor faced criticism for thanking both his estranged wife and his new girlfriend as he collected the Best Actor Golden Globe for Fargo back in January.

“I want to take a moment to just say thank you to Eve, who always stood by me for 22 years, and my four children Clara, Esther, Jamyan and Anouk,” he said on stage,

“And I've always loved being an actor and I love hanging out with actors and I got amazing actors to work with on this.”

He added: “There wouldn't have been Emmit Stussy without David Thewlis and Michael Stuhlbarg and Carrie Coon and there wouldn't have been a Ray without Mary Elizabeth Winstead.”

Ewan was married to Mavrakis for 22 years. They also share daughters, Jamyan, 16, Esther, 16, and Anouk, six.
