Daisy Ridley wishes fans a ‘happy Star Wars Day’ in May the Fourth video message
Daisy Ridley has celebrated Star Wars day by filming a special video message for her fans.
The Force Awakens actress, who is currently shooting scenes for the new film, took time out to record a short clip in honour of ‘May the Fourth’.
Featuring cameos from a few familiar faces, including BB-8 and a number of alien friends, the actress wishes viewers a ‘happy Star Wars Day’.
The British star also took the opportunity to support the Star Wars: Force For Change campaign thanking everyone who had donated.
Ridley gave fans another treat by posting a series of behind-the-scenes snaps from the Star Wars set on her Instagram.
One picture showed her holding hands with co-star John Boyega, under the caption: “HAPPY STAR WARS DAY Y'ALL! @jboyega_ PEANUTS.”
Another pictures shows the star getting her hair and make-up done while in character as Rey.

She wrote: “HAPPY STAR WARS DAY Y'ALL! This is team Dazzle; Lisa, Amanda and Callie (missing Sonny!) AKA the incredible women that kept me going the whole way through the shoot! Plus JJ in the back being a general BAWS.”
Ridley and Boyega are in the middle of filming the eagerly-awaited Episode VIII at Pinewood Studios.
The film is slated for release in 2017.
