Coleen Rooney has shared a picture of newborn son Kit, just a few days after giving birth.

The 29-year-old posted a black and white snap of herself with the little one as he met his older brothers Kai and Klay.

She captioned the picture: “Love at first sight!! My boys.”

Coleen and husband Wayne Rooney announced the arrival of their third child on Sunday, saying that they were “over the moon”.

Sharing the news on their Twitter accounts, they both announced that they’d named their newborn Kit Joseph Rooney.

Posting almost identical messages on Twitter on Sunday evening, the pair wrote: "Our gorgeous little boy arrived today. Kit Joseph Rooney. 8Ib 1oz. We are all over the moon."

Coleen decided not to find out the sex ahead of the birth, telling Ok Magazine:

“Hopefully the anticipation of the sex will make the labour go a bit quicker.”

The star told her Twitter followers that she was on board with the new trend in which new mothers eat their own placenta in pill form.

Posting a picture of the capsules, she admitted that she was ‘looking forward’ to trying them.
