Chris Brown has released a brand new song just one day after being arrested following an 11-hour police stand-off.

The US R&B singer posted new track What Would You Do? on his Soundcloud account on Thursday, after being released from police custody.

His music label has since confirmed that the track, which appears to address the incident, will not be an official single or release.

Lyrics include: “What do you do, fighting for your life/ And no one's on your side/ I can't stand to lose you, see you're in too deep with nowhere to hide.

Before sharing the track with fans, Brown posted a video of himself saying: “Yo. You know all this bulls*** that’s been going on man? I’m just going to turn my cheek and drop some music.”

The musician, who maintains his innocence, was arrested at his LA mansion on Tuesday after allegedly pointed a gun at former Miss California Baylee Curran, who claims he became angry when she admired another man’s necklace.

She called police to his £3 million mansion at around 3am local time on Tuesday after allegedly being chased by one of Brown's associates as she fled the property.

Officers arrived but were unable to obtain a warrant to search his home until about 1pm.

Brown was then arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon a short while later, LA police said.

The singer was later released on $250,000 bail, with his lawyer Mark Geragos saying in a statement:

“Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes. Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false.”
