Heart-throb Luke lies low in luxury

The luxury private apartment costs around £2,500 a week, and offers 24-hour room service. The former Beverly Hills 90210 heart-throb co-stars with Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Alyson Hannigan in this remake of the Hollywood comedy.

Perry recently parted from his London-born wife, former model Minnie Sharp.

Gloucestershire home for Sainsburys boss
Sainsbury's chief executive Sir Peter Davis has chosen one of Gloucestershire's most beautiful villages for his new country home.

He paid a little more than £3 million through Knight Frank for a Cotswold-stone farmhouse in Bledington, a few miles from Hollywood actress Kate Winslet's £4.5 million house in Westcote.

Sir Peter has already been spotted in his new local, The King's Head, one of Prince William's favourite pubs.

Be Henry James' neighbour
American bibliophiles wanting to live near the former home of their idol Henry James, who settled in Britain in 1876, should consider buying in a blue-plaque building near Kensington Gardens.

The fourth-floor, fourbedroom flat at 34 De Vere Gardens is for sale at £1.8 million through Knight Frank. James's country home, Lamb House in Rye, East Sussex, is open to the public.

Channel Island lure for IT tycoon
IT tycoon Geoff Squire has become the latest arrival in tax-friendly Guernsey. He has bought a Georgian house set in half an acre of garden outside the capital, St Peter Port, for an estimated £1.5 million.

The founder of the Innovation Group also recently bought a Hampshire farm in Dummer, close to the family homes of the Duchess of York and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.

'Geoff has been so busy landscaping his Dummer property that he hasn't spent much time in Guernsey yet,' reports a friend.

Flat with a view
The sight of Rod Stewart's girlfriend, lingerie model Penny Lancaster sunbathing on her penthouse terrace next summer may be sufficient to lure red-blooded males to Capital Wharf in Wapping.

FPD Savills is selling a two-bedroom, fourth-floor flat in the same 1990s Berkeley Homes development for £595,000. Lancaster recently paid £840,000 for her three-bedroom property overlooking the Thames.
