Celebrity Big Brother’s Ben Jardine has slammed former romantic interest Roxanne Pallett for being “cold and calculated” after she claimed that Ryan Thomas “maliciously punched” her.

The Married at First Sight star might have been Pallett’s confidant in the Elstree house, but it seems that he’s now turned against her after reviewing the footage of the incident.

“What she showed and portrayed to me was disgraceful,” he told The Sun.

“Ryan is a genuine guy and I believe him all day long. I believed him when I hugged him in the pool and I looked into his eyes and saw what it did to him. I knew immediately that I'd been mugged off.”

After Thomas jokingly jabbed at the Emmerdale actress during a play-fight last week, she made an official complaint to Big Brother, saying that she feared for her safety in the house.

She also confided in Jardine, telling him that Thomas had “repeatedly” and “maliciously” punched her.

He added: “I went through the mill with that Roxanne. I'm upset and devastated by everything. For someone to do that and hit on all your soft spots. That's cold and calculated.”

Despite both being in relationships, Jardine and Pallett formed an instant bond in the house, with romantic sparks flying.

“Roxanne made a beeline for me. It was an instant connection. She was like my shadow. After what she's done, I'm broken hearted. I don’t want to see her again because of all this. But I want to know who the real Roxy is,” he said.

“Watching it feels like a completely different scenario to how it felt at the time,” she told Willis.

She added: “I’m the most hated girl in Britain right now, it’s a lot. It’s the title I feel everyone’s giving me at the moment, all I can do it own it accept it and take each day now. Like everybody that makes a mistake, I’ll just try.”

Last week's CBB incident sparked 11,000 complaints to Ofcom after the scenes were shown to viewers, prompting a fierce backlash against Pallett.
