Liam Hemsworth has shared a "heart-breaking" image of the remains of the house he shares with fiancée Miley Cyrus in the aftermath of the Malibu wildfires.

The 28-year-old Australian actor took to social media to share the image of the couple’s scorched house, with a sign spelling out “love” amid the loose rubble, after it was torched in the Woolsey fires.

He captioned the post: “It’s been a heart-breaking few days. This is what’s left of my house. Love.

“Many people in Malibu and surrounding areas in California have lost their homes also and my heart goes out to everyone who was affected by these fires.

“I spent the day in Malibu yesterday and it was amazing to see the community pulling together to help each other out in any way they can.”

Hemsworth went on to thank the community and local “hero” firefighters for their help, encouraging everyone to “stay strong.”

The image comes after Caitlyn Jenner gave fans an update on her Malibu home after being forced to evacuate as wildfire raged in California.

Jenner, 69, and her partner 22-year-old Sophia Hutchins told fans they were staying at a safe house over the weekend while fire burned close to their home .

But the couple have since revealed that they are back in their unscathed property, telling fans they consider themselves “very, very lucky”.

Jenner gave a startling glimpse of the scorched Malibu hills as she assured fans the pair and their dogs Baxter and Bertha are safe and sound.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were also amongst people caught up in the wildfires.

According to reports, the couple hired a private team of firefighters to battle flames surrounding their luxury home.

They are being praised by their neighbours in the Hidden Hills for hiring the team, who dug trenches to stop the fires engulfing the house, celebrity news website TMZ said.

The couple’s $60 million (£46 million) mansion is reportedly at the end of a cul-de-sac adjacent to a field and could have threatened the rest of the block if it went up in flames.
