Caitlyn Jenner has caused confusion amongst fans when she told her fellow I’m A Celebrity campers that she has 20 grandchildren.

Whilst chatting about raising her children, the former Olympic athlete and reality TV star said that Bruce Jenner cared for her six children before she came out as a transgender woman in 2015.

She said that Caitlyn now has the pleasure of spending time with the famous family.

In the same conversation, she explained that her children call her ‘dad’ while and when Kate Garraway asked how many grandchildren Caitlyn had, and she said “20 in December.”

Viewers quickly flocked to Twitter to point out what they were sure was an error on Caitlyn’s part.

One user said: “Caitlyn Jenner saying she’ll have 20 grandchildren by December on #imacelebrity but my maths isn’t adding up... Bert: 2 . Casey:3. Brandon:1. Brody:0. Kourtney:3. Kim:4. Khloé:1. Rob:1. Kendall:0. Kylie:1. Who had the last 4? What’s going on?”

Another asked: “ Caitlyn says she has 20 grandchildren, but I can only count 16, so WHO IS PREGNANT #imaceleb2019”

According to most recent reports of the Kardashian-Jenner family, she only has 16 grandchildren with twins on the way. Meaning she will have 18 grandchildren in December.

To make things easier for everyone, we have highlighted the youngest generation in her family tree.

During Thursday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity, Caitlyn, a gold medal-winning star, was asked if she was like a father to her children before explaining: “Bruce raised them and Caitlyn is enjoying their life with them.”

Praising her family, the reality star continued: “My kids all call me Dad, Kendall asked me first and I said ‘Dad’, I’m your Dad and I’ll always be your Dad till the day I die.

“But what they’re really good at, which shocks me all the time, is when they’re talking about me – ‘my Dad, she’ – and it’s tough to change the pronoun in the middle of it.”

Caitlyn, referring to what her grandchildren call her, said: “They’ve come up with ‘Boom Boom’, it kinda stuck, it was easy for them to say.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues on ITV on Friday at 9pm.
