Beyonce and Jay-Z paid tribute to those killed in the Grenfell Tower fire with an emotional duet at their London show.

The superstar duo were performing their last UK date of their On The Run II tour at the London Stadium.

At the end of the show they moved fans to tears with an emotional rendition of Forever Young, which they dedicated to the 72 victims of the fire.

Fans said they were left “sobbing” by the performance on Friday, a day after the one year anniversary of the tragic west London blaze.

They performed the song in front of graphics that appeared to show a building on fire and also wore green heart-shaped pins in support of the Grenfell Speaks campaign.

One person said the dedication was “very special” and another Tweeted saying: “Beyoncé and Jay Z just dedicated London’s #OTRII to the victims of Grenfell. We all sobbed.”

The Justice 4 Grenfell campaign Twitter account thanked the couple for their tribute, writing: “We are grateful that Jay Z and Beyonce dedicated their last song to Grenfell tonight, they said their thoughts were with the families & survivors.

“We are glad they wore the green heart badges that we sent over! Thank you #Justice4Grenfell @grenfellspeaks.”

The performance comes after the west London community, and the rest of the country, held vigils and memorials for the people who died in the fire on June 14 2017.

Supporters of the Grenfell cause are set to march to Downing Street later on Saturday calling for justice to be done for those killed in the horrific fire.

The gig was the last of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s UK performances. The couple have been travelling around the country on the European leg of their worldwide tour, set to conclude in Seattle on October 4.
