BBC Music Awards 2014: Pixie Lott and Fearne Cotton go for festive glam at Earls Court bash

The stars got into the Christmas spirit as they arrived for the BBC Music Awards tonight, with Pixie Lott sporting a giant bow on an otherwise revealing outfit and DJ Fearne Cotton wearing a sparkly bauble dress.

Lott - who exited Strictly Come Dancing last weekend to the surprise of many viewers - wore a white dress with the top half dominated by the bow above her bare midriff.

She was among the guests who trod the red carpet ahead of the event tonight which was being staged at Earls Court in London, celebrating the best music of 2014.

Also heading into the event were Paloma Faith, wearing a floor-length shoulderless leather dress, who appeared to give a peck on the cheek to Sir Tom Jones. The pair are both due to perform at the show.

Some guests chose to dress down with Ed Sheeran - a nominee and performer at the show - turning up in black jeans, a long sleeve top and trainers.

One Direction arrived in smart jackets with the all five wearing skintight black trousers. The group's Zayn Malik wore his hair with a loose strand across his face - a style which recently caused a stir on Twitter among 1D fans.

Chart-topping singer Ellie Goulding arrived in a salmon pink suit with nothing beneath her jacket.
