Sending so much love: Anne and Linda Nolan receive messages of support after cancer diagnoses

A number of famous faces have shared messages of support for Anne and Linda Nolan following the revelation that they have both been diagnosed with cancer.

In a joint interview, the two sisters today told fans they are both battling the disease after receiving the devastating health news within days of each other.

Linda, 61, has incurable liver cancer while Anne, 69, has been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer.

Following their emotional interview, a number of famous faces have shared support for the two much-loved stars.

A message posted on their sister Coleen’s Twitter account reads: “They've beaten it before - they can beat it again.

“Coleen's brave sisters Linda and Anne sadly reveal they both have cancer again In tomorrow's papers, here is a preview below. Please keep them in your thoughts and well wishes X."

Cheryl Baker, of Buck’s Fizz fame, tweeted: “Sending so much love, light and positivity, @LindaNolan_ and @AnneNolan2. You are amazing women and the strength from your family, friends and fans will see you through, I’m sure. Steve [Cheryl’s husband] and I send all our love.”

The sister’s health news comes seven years after their sibling Bernie died from breast cancer at the age of 52.

Ex-The Apprentice star Michelle Dewberry tweeted: “I send you so many best wishes and all my love. I truly hope all becomes well.

“Your sister Bernie was so very, very kind to me many years ago and I will never forget her, nor her kindnesses towards me. Beautiful, kind lady.”

Fans also social media with messages for the stars.

Both Anne and Linda have suffered from cancer before with the latter previously battling breast cancer in 2006, cellulitis and lymphoedema in her arm in 2007 and secondary cancer on her pelvis in 2017.

Anne was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000.

Maureen Nolan, 66, has now moved in with her elder sister to look after her.

Meanwhile, Denise Nolan, 68, is caring for Linda at her home.
