Anne Hegerty served up a hilarious response to fans who thought they had found a topless snap of the famous quizzer.

The Chase star, 60, joked she has ‘bigger t***’ after she was confused for a Newcastle United fan who whipped his top off to celebrate the team’s recent win against Leicester City.

One Twitter user posted a link to an article featuring the picture alongside the caption: “Anne Hegarty just doesn’t give a f***, fair play.”

Proving she saw the funny side she retweeted the post with a laughing emoji as she shut down the comparison, telling followers: “I would just like to confirm that this is NOT me ...”

One fan challenged her to “prove it” to which she replied: “My t*** are bigger than that.”

Responding to another who said they can’t “unsee” the image, Hegerty replied: “YOU can’t unsee it? How do you think I feel?”

Hegerty left followers in hysterics, with one deeming her responses “epic” while another hailed her a “legend”.

The funny tweets come days after she revealed she was threatened with suspension from ITV after hitting back at a troll who targeted her I’m A Celebrity campmate Emily Atack.

Speaking to Christine Lampard on Lorraine about answering back she said: “I’ve been known to get in trouble for doing that.

“I tweeted a tweet last month, it got 25,000 likes, before ITV ordered me to take it down and threatened me with suspension.

“So I took it down. Sometimes you don’t always know what’s appropriate or what people will find appropriate or not. One is not actually trying to upset the source of one’s bread and butter.”

Hegerty is believed to have branded the troll a “sad c***” after they claimed Atack wasn’t pretty enough to play Blondie icon Debbie Harry in Sky Arts show Urban Myths.
