Jennifer Lopez was the star of the show at the American Music Awards.

The pop superstar, who was hosting the annual ceremony on Sunday night, had a total of nine outfit changes during the show.

Opening the event with a musical medley, the 46-year-old wowed the crowd with a rather raunchy performance of 1999 hit Waiting For Tonight.

In a dance number, Lopez performed choregraphed routines to songs including Nicki Minaj’s Anaconda, 7/11 by Beyonce and Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood.

She ended the show-stopping performance with a dance to Rihanna’s B**ch Better Have My Money as dollar bills rained from the ceiling.

The star also managed to pull off a number impressive outfit changes in record time in between introducing presenters by designers including Julien MacDonald and Zuhair Murad.

Other performers on the night included Ariana Grande, Coldplay and Justin Bieber as well as British boyband One Direction.

The former X Factor stars, who are taking a haitus next year, were the big winners of the night, picking up the Artist of the Year Award.
