Adele has promised to stop swearing so much during live concerts.

The chart-topping superstar, who admitted to swearing an impressive 33 times during her Glastonbury set, told the crowd at her LA show that she was making a concerted effort to reign it in.

Speaking on stage at the Staples Center on Monday night, the singer explained her bad language by simply saying: “I’m British.”

“I’m trying to powder my tongue a little bit and not swear so much,” she told the crowd.

Discussing her Pyramid Stage set, she said: “I managed to swear 33 times. 33 times. I mean I’m not a mathematician — I didn’t even pass my exams and that — but that’s like every couple of minutes, swearing, right?”

The 28-year-old added: “I see lots of mothers here, so forgive me if I do. Just know if I do, I never mean it meanly, all right?”

During her Glastonbury performance back in June, Adele told the crowd that the BBC had warned her not to swear too much.

“Do you know how rock ‘n’ roll I am? Not very, but the BBC had to give me a warning about my potty mouth before I went on. I bet Muse didn’t get that,” she said.

While Adele is still in the middle of the North American leg of her tour, she is reportedly gearing up for a new musical project.

According to reports, the superstar is in talks to record an album of duets with music legend Barbra Streisand.

“This could easily become one of the most important and lucrative collaborations in modern music history. And they are both very much up for it,” a source told the Daily Star Sunday.

“Despite the huge gulf in age and their different genres, both have said they would love to get together in the studio and record a duets album."
