Police intervened at a Britain’s Got Talent audition when an intruder tried to sneak backstage at the London Palladium

Met Police officers were seen speaking to a woman before escorting her away from the West End theatre, the Metro reported. The newspaper said no offences were committed.

The 17th series of Britain’s Got Talent will soon be back on our TV screens, showing Simon Cowell and co. scouring the UK for talented performers.

The Norwegian clown Viggo Venn won the competition and its £250,000 prize in 2023 — beating Lillianna Clifton and Cillian O’Connor.

While it is not the cultural touchstone of 2009, when 13 million tuned in to see dance group Diversity win the series ahead of singer Susan Boyle, it still regularly attracts more than five million viewers.

Here is what you can expect from the hit ITV show in 2024.

Ant McPartlin, Bruno Tonioli, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and Declan Donnelly, arrive for Britain's Got Talent auditions at the London Palladium in January 2024

When is Britain’s Got Talent back on TV?

The Standard contacted ITV for an answer to this on January 26 but we have not yet received a reply.

However, Britain’s Got Talent has been consistent in its scheduling to give a good idea about when it will return in 2024.

For the past two years, the series has begun on the second Saturday of April and finished on the first Saturday of June.

If this trend continues, it will likely be broadcast between April 13 and June 1, 2024.

As ever, the episodes will likely be given a primetime slot on ITV1.

Who are the judges on Britain’s Got Talent?

Long-time dream-makers/breakers Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon are back in the judging hot seats once more.

Bruno Tonioli will join the three judges for the second year after his debut in 2023. The Italian choreographer left the BBC dance competition Strictly Come Dancing after 18 years in 2022.
