We all know Brazilians are passionate, sexy bunch who like a bit of a Samba, but here's a few other facts you might not know about our South American friends...
- Brazil has the second highest figure for plastic surgery operations per year - 66,090
- The seven million inhabitants of Rio are called Cariocas.
- Brazilian Elaine Davidson hold the Guiness World Record for being the woman with the greatest number of body piercings - 1903 altogether!
- In 2001 an expedition in a remote Amazonian region of Brazil made contact with a tribe of indigenous Indians never before exposed to western society.
- It's is the world's fifth-largest country.
- The most powerful electric eel is found in the rivers in Brazil which produces a shock of 400-650 volts!
- Brazil shares a border with almost every other country in South America -only Chile and Ecuador are untouched - and covers almost half the continent
- More types of fish swim in the Amazon River than in the entire Alantic Ocean.

- The verses of Brazilian Anthem were composed by Joaquim Osório Duque Estrada, a very Knowledgeable man who was so brainy that it is hard to understand, even by well-read Brazilians. Even so, it's worshiped by all citizens, from soccer fans to dignitaries!
