Made in Chelsea star Alexandra “Binky” Felstead has revealed her biggest fashion faux pas — but said being young means you can “look good in a bin bag”.

The fashion blogger, 24, said her least favourite outfit to date was a pink jumpsuit she wore when the reality show won a Bafta. She explained: “I was quite chubby at the time so I wasn’t feeling very confident with myself.”

She told ES magazine her mother had the best style advice. She said: “My mum always says, ‘You look good in a bin bag when you’re young, so don’t bother spending lots of money on clothes, wait until you’re older.’ I like that advice.”

She added: “I’m appalled by what I used to wear when Made In Chelsea first started. I would always be in leggings and baggy off-the-shoulder jumpers. When it became a daily thing, I knew I had to up my game. Being surrounded by gorgeous people forced me to make more of an effort.”

But she confessed: “I dress for comfort more than anything. I’m a country girl.”
