Katie Price's boyfriends are well-accustomed to being dragged along to her book signings - but today her latest squeeze got truly into the spirit.

Under the glamour model's instructions, Alex Reid wore a flowing black wig, garish make-up and a shiny gold outfit matching the one she was pictured in while clubbing in Ibiza after her split from husband Peter Andre.

The couple were accompanied by three other men dressed up to look like three different versions of her alter ego Jordan as part of a stunt to promote her new book Standing Out at Selfridges, central London.

Explaining the stunt, Price said: "This is all tongue in cheek. It's all a bit of fun and we really enjoyed it."

Price, who has already released a string of top-selling books, said Standing Out, a style guide, even catered for fans who could not read.

She said: "It's an interesting read and if you cannot read you can look at the pictures - there are a lot of them."

The couple posed for pictures alongside her dressage coach Andrew Gould, her brother Daniel Price and Phil Turner, partner to her stylist Gary Cockerill.

Price, 31, wore a drag-queen inspired glittery red gown and enormous blonde wig as she told her friends: "No smiling boys, pouting only."

She said: "I was the quickest getting ready. I think they all took an equal time."

Price refused to answer questions about Andre, who has spoken out saying he would not like Reid - whose stage name is reportedly Roxy - cross-dressing around his children.

Price said: "The book is basically my style tips, whether they're right or wrong.

"I just thought I have so many girls on my website, who want to know where I get my clothes from, how I do my make-up, where I get my hair extensions, what nail varnish I like. And I just thought, I'm going to bring out a book, put it all in there and show photos from way back from when I started 'til now - the changes in style."

The reality TV star said Andre was having their children, Harvey, seven, Junior, four and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii for Halloween, while she attended a party at Hampton Court with family and friends.

She said: "It's fancy dress so God knows where the night will take us."

Reid, a cage fighter, recently confirmed he sometimes dressed up as a woman - but only on special occasions.

Asked if there was any truth in the cross-dressing rumours, Reid told OK! magazine: "On special occasions. It's a bit of fun.

"I've dressed up as a woman. And it's a laugh."
