A married couple were arrested after allegedly impersonating Adele’s manager in a bid to get free concert tickets.

Husband and wife Justin Jackson and Angel Lii tried to scam tickets to see Kendrick Lamar by posing as the star’s manager Jonathan Dickins, his lawyer claims.

Jackson allegedly sent an email to Lamar’s representatives asking for $250 worth of concert tickets for the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, the Miami Herald reports.

According to a police report, Lamar’s record label then contacted Dickins directly after catching wind of the alleged scam.

The couple were then arrested when they showed up to collect their tickets, after the authorities were notified.

Officers said: "It was confirmed that the email was not genuine, that this email address was known to be connected to the subject for making false claims such as this in the past.”

Dickins’ lawyer Brain Bieber said that his client was “breathing a sigh of relief” after a year of being “victimised.”

He added: “If he was trying to run a scam like in (crime film) Catch Me If You Can, he didn't do a good job.”

Adele, who has spent the last year on her worldwide tour to promote chart-topping album 27, recently topped the Sunday Times under-30s rich list.

The 29-year-old made an impressive £40 million last year alone after her fortune skyrocketed from £85m to £125m.
