Sir Anthony Hopkins has delighted fans by showing off his dancing skills while cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

The 85-year-old two-time Oscar-winning actor, who is famed for his roles in Hollywood films such as Silence of the Lambs and The Father, took to Instagram over the weekend to upload a video of him getting into his "Sunday vibe".

Dressed casually in black jogging bottoms and a black sweatshirt, Sir Anthony can be seen throwing various shapes to the song Mambo Italiano, which he also attempted to mouth the lyrics to with varying success.

The Welsh star was clearly trying to get into the mood as he appeared to be preparing some Italian food which was visible on his kitchen counter.

"Hey goomba do you like how I dance the rumba…? Sunday vibe," Sir Anthony, who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to drama in 1993, wrote in the accompany caption.

Adding: "Sunday vibe," followed by two food emojis showing pizza and spaghetti.

The post went down well with his 4.4m followers, who rushed to share their delight.

"I am very glad to see you in good health and in a great mood! You are wonderful!" wrote one person.

"Never stop being wonderful," declared another.

While a third remarked: "You've still got it Sir Anthony!"

It's not the first time that the revered actor has treated fans to his other talents online, which also include playing the piano on which he composes his own music.

He previously gave a taster of his dance moves last Christmas as well.
