Veteran actor Ruscio dies at 89

Veteran American character actor Al Ruscio, who appeared in movies such as The Godfather Part III, has died at the age of 89

Veteran American character actor Al Ruscio has died at the age of 89, his long-time manager said.

Ruscio died on Tuesday at his home in Encino, California, after a period of declining health, according to Judy Fox.

He appeared in such films as The Godfather: Part III and Guilty By Suspicion, and on TV including Sea Hunt and Seinfeld. His stage credits included A Hatful Of Rain and A View From the Bridge.

Ruscio also taught college acting classes, wrote a drama text called "So Therefore ... A Practical Guide for Actors" and served on the board of directors of the Screen Actors Guild.

Ruscio is survived by his wife, actress Kate Williamson, four children and five grandchildren.
