An Australian woman enlisted the help of wildlife specialists to remove a “horny” snake snuggled up inside her ugg boot.

The eastern brown snake was captured by snake catcher Rolly Burrell at the woman’s home in Adelaide.

She contacted experts after she spotted a brown tail disappear into the warm, fluffy boot when she stepped outside to collect her shoes.

Mr Burrell told the BBC: “She went outside to get her ugg boots and she saw something shoot in there.

“She realised it was a snake."

The snake, said to be a typically shy breed, was released back into the wild.

Mr Burrell said his company, Snake Catchers Adelaide, had been previously called on to remove a reptile from another shoe which provide a cosy spot to warm up following an unseasonably long winter.

He added: “They're all just starting to wake up from their sleep. Their mating season has started so they're all horny and hungry."
