A Florida woman has been charged with animal cruelty after she was filmed allegedly kicking and choking her dog.

Michelle Sieber, 26, was arrested after an onlooker filmed her from his car and shared the video on Facebook.

Sieber can be seen walking through a car park with the dog on a leash before suddenly kicking it in the ribs.

She then yanks the lead, violently pulling the animal up by its neck.

Sieber was swiftly confronted by Mr Minutello for her behaviour

Vincent Minutello, who captured the incident on his mobile phone, then approaches Sieber and asks her to stop.

“Hey, can you go a little easy on that dog, please,” he asks. “You can’t do what you’re doing.”

Sieber laughs and responds: “Pull on his collar?”

“You are choking him. You are hanging your dog. He is sitting there by his neck and he can’t breathe if you watch him,” Mr Minutello replies.

“You can have him if you want him,” Sieber then says, still smiling.

According to an arrest report obtained by American broadcaster WFTS, Sieber told police she was training the dog.

The dog seen in the video, along with another dog that was not filmed, have since been taken in by local authorities.

Sieber has been jailed as she awaits trial, after no one came forward to pay her £4,400 ($5,000) bail.

Mr Minutello has thanked the public for sharing the video more than 2,000 times since he posted it on Friday.
