The White House has revealed further details of a highly-anticipated summit between US President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un.
The meeting will go ahead at 9am Singapore time (2am BST) on June 12, it was announced today.
A spokeswoman for the White House said a maximum pressure policy on North Korea has not changed despite the planned summit.
Press secretary Sarah Sanders said that planning continues for the historic meeting, which has been the subject of much back and forth between the two nations in recent weeks.
Mr Trump announced that the nuclear summit was back on last week, a week after he had called it off.
The aim of the summit is denuclearising the Korean Peninsula, he said.
The president said the meeting would still be going ahead after an hour-long meeting with a top North Korean official who delivered hand-delivered a letter from Kim.
White House officials cast the roller-coaster public statements as reflective of the hard-nosed negotiation by the two nations.
The president withdrew from the summit on May 24 with a strongly-worded letter, citing "tremendous anger and open hostility" by Pyongyang.
By the next day, he was signalling the event could be back on after a conciliatory response from North Korea.
North Korea's flurry of diplomatic activity following an increase in nuclear weapons and missile tests in 2017 suggests that Kim is eager for sanctions relief to build his economy and for the international legitimacy a summit with Mr Trump would provide.
But there are lingering doubts on whether he will ever fully relinquish his nuclear arsenal.
Mr Trump views a summit as a legacy-defining opportunity to make a nuclear deal.
