White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has been mocked after appearing to tweet his password on two consecutive days.

On Wednesday morning Mr Spicer tweeted ‘Aqenbpuu’, an eight-letter string of nonsense which was just about the right length to be a password.

And less than 24 hours later, a similar tweet appeared, this time ‘n9y25ah7’.

Both tweets were quickly deleted and, although some speculated that they were the nuclear codes, looked considerably more like a password than a pocket tweet.

The apparent mishap was mocked on social media, with Anna Massoglia tweeting: “Did the White House Press Secretary just tweet his password? I don't know about y'all but I feel safe.”

Isaac McDaniel said: “Is @PressSec @seanspicer tweeting the nuke codes or his email password?”

Theodore Leo added: "Sean Spicer is either being hacked or mistakenly typing his password into tweets."

Mr Spicer is already making a name for himself in his new position in the Trump White House.

He claimed it had the biggest crowd in history despite evidence from photos, crowd experts, and TV ratings, later adding: “sometimes we can disagree with the facts.”
