Stormy Daniels' 60 Minutes interview: Porn star claims Donald Trump 'compared her to daughter Ivanka' and she was 'threatened to keep quiet'

Martin Coulter17 April 2018

Porn star Stormy Daniels claimed she was threatened by a stranger who told her to "forget the story" of her and Donald Trump's alleged affair.

The 39-year-old, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, says she engaged in an affair with the now-US President in 2006.

Ms Daniels told CBS she was confronted in a parking lot by a stranger while her infant daughter was sat in the backseat of her car.

"A guy walked up on me and said to me in a parking lot and said: 'Leave Trump alone. Forget the story.'

"And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said: 'That's a beautiful little girl. It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom.'

"And then he was gone. My hands were shaking so much...I thought I was going to drop [my daughter as I was walking]."

She said although she did not inform the police of the encounter, she would "be able to pick the man out in a line up".

Stormy Daniels claims the pair had a relationship between 2006 and 2007

Asked if this encounter was the reason she did not speak out sooner, Ms Daniels responded: "I was concerned for my family and their safety."

Recounting the origins of their alleged affair in 2006, she claimed Mr Trump told her she "reminded him of his daughter" Ivanka Trump.

She said Mr Trump's comment came after an encounter in which she spanked Mr Trump with a magazine which featured him on its cover.

Ms Daniels said: "It started off...all about him. Talking about himself. He's like: 'Have you seen my new magazine?'

"And so I was like, 'Does this normally work for you?' And he looked very taken aback.

"And I was like: 'Someone should take that magazine and spank you with it...I'll never forget the look on his face.

"So he turned around and pulled his pants down a little. He had underwear on and stuff and I just gave him a couple swats.

"He quit talking about himself and he asked me things and I asked him things and it just became like more appropriate.

"He was like, 'Wow, you-- you are special. You remind me of my daughter'."

When asked about Mr Trump's relationship with wife Melania, who at the time of the alleged affair had recently given birth, she said he "brushed it aside".

"I asked...he said 'Oh yeah, yeah, you know...don't worry about that. We have separate rooms and stuff.'"

Ms Daniels claims Mr Trump offered her a spot on his Celebrity Apprentice reality TV show before inviting her to his hotel room later than evening.

She says she arrived to discover him wearing “pyjama pants” and watching a documentary about sharks on television.

After returning from the bathroom, she then claims to have found him "sitting on the edge of the bed...perched".

This is when Ms Daniels claims the two had sex - a claim Mr Trump’s lawyer has said he “vehemently denies”.

"I realised exactly what I'd gotten myself into and I was like 'Ugh, here we go'...I thought of it as a business deal."

She claims kept in touch but that she refused his advances on separate occasions. Mr Trump has categorically denied these allegations.
