A British woman was left wondering “why does stuff like this always happen to me?” after accidentally booking an entire hotel, rather than the Airbnb she had intended for her family in Bali.

Jas and her family are now being catered for by their own chef and can access a bar any time they like after getting a whole lot more for her family than the villa she had intended.

The party of seven also has access to a pool, a snooker table, a firepit and an outdoor seating area, as well as a table tennis table.

“So, I’ve accidentally booked an entire f*cking hotel in Bali,” she begins in the TikTok video, which has been liked more than 300,000 times and seen by 3 million.

“There are seven of us in my family, there are 12 bedrooms, I think it sleeps 18 people… There is a full time bartender, a kitchen, a chef, a restaurant, and it’s literally just me and my family here.”

The social media manager, who posts on TikTok as @jxx, said she had left the choice of accommodation for her family’s trip to Ubud to her grandparents. They had asked for the most expensive choice of the options in Bali, which cost Jas £2,300.

She said she had been concerned the terms might change, having made the booking through Airbnb. Within the subsequent year, the hotel changed hands and Jas noticed it was now being listed as a “hostel” on Google Maps.

One week before their arrival, the new owner called her about the suspicious “low price”.

The manager also inquired as to whether more guests would be arriving and if others might be able to stay but Jas – not realising the size of the location – said no.

“Why does stuff like this always happen to me?” she captioned the viral video.

She said “I just know there are going to be problems with this…” at the outset and that the whole pricing structure had changed.

When they arrived, the penny dropped when Jas saw a till in a reception area but insisted there had been no foul play from her side.

“How the f*ck have I managed that?” she finishes the video.
