Viewers claim CBeebies presenter Chris Jarvis sang 'c***' on children's show

The BBC has denied a presenter on children’s TV channel CBeebies used the words “fluttering c***” while riding on a scooter and singing a song.

Shocked mother-of-two Lyndsey Mann posted a clip of children’s favourite Show Me Show Me to Facebook in which she claimed presenter Chris Jarvis sang: “Imagine you’re a fluttering c***.”

She wrote “You what CBeebies?!?” in her post, which has been viewed more than 3 million times since yesterday.

Programme makers deny the presenter was being foul-mouthed and claim Mr Jarvis was singing “fluttering kite”.

A BBC spokesman said: "When you watch the full programme it is obvious that Chris says the word kite."

But Ms Mann told The Sun: “Everyone agrees it’s just horrendous.

“All my friends were shocked. My sister and my mum were like, ‘oh my god, I just can’t believe that that is on a child’s programme’.”

People on social media are divided over what Mr Jarvis was singing.

Natalie Howden tweeted: “Yeah that's not how I pronounce Kite naughty cbeebies!”

And ItsyBitsyMumsy wrote: “Doesn’t sound like kite to me.”

But Ameila Shimells wrote: “This whole 'fluttering kite' thing got blown waaaay out of proportion.”
