The number of people who have died after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK has risen by 53.
The Department of Health said that, as of 5pm on Wednesday, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the UK had reached 45,554.
The UK saw a further 769 cases confirmed by Thursday, DoH said.
It comes after a further 19 people died after testing positive for coronavirus in UK hospitals - all of them in England.
Scotland and Wales both reported no new deaths from the virus on Thursday. Northern Ireland is yet to provide updated figures.
The patients who died were aged between 35 and 89 years old and all were known to have underlying health conditions, NHS England said.
Another six deaths were reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.
There have been 16 further confirmed cases of coronavirus in Scotland, while another 11 people in care homes are suspected to have caught the virus, First Minister Sturgeon said.
Speaking at the Scottish Government’s coronavirus briefing, she said 18,500 people have tested positive for Covid-19 north of the border.
She added that provisional figures suggest four of the new cases are in the county of Lanarkshire. There are now 24 cases linked to the outbreak at the Sitel call centre in the region, up from 20 yesterday, she went on.
With no further deaths in Scotland today, the country's toll remains at 2,491.
Meanwhile a further 43 people have tested positive for the virus in Wales, according to Public Health Wales.
A total of 32,555 people have now died with the virus in UK hospitals. This does not include people who have died elsewhere after catching the virus.
The British government recently "paused" its count of UK-wide coronavirus deaths in all settings while a review looks into suspected miscalculation of some figures.
