The Duchess of Cambridge sealed the success of the SportsAid fundraising dinner last night by adding the required touch of glamour to the event in an elegant knee-length black Alice Temperley dress, five-inch Jimmy Choo pumps and a bright red Alexander McQueen clutch bag to add colour.

As patron of the charity, she presented the SportsAid One-to-Watch award to 16-year-old Amber Hill, who is already in the senior British shooting team - and is ranked fifth in the world. Other guests at the smart black-tie do included former Paralympic wheelchair racer Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson.
