Eagle eyed Royal wedding watchers have taken to the internet to ask if Prince Harry said "I'm sh***ing it" as he revealed his nerves to his bride Meghan Markle at the altar.

Harry's wedding to Hollywood actress Ms Markle was expected to be among the most watched television events of 2018.

Spectator @smtm_LFC wrote on Twitter: "The highlight for me was Harry announcing in front of a global audience 'I'm sh***ing it'. Lad."

Polly Curtis, editor of the Huffington Post, added: "He's definitely tells her 'I'm sh***ing it'."

Social media was rife with speculation that Harry had said 'I'm shitting it'

Blogger Caroline Hirons wrote: "So far we’ve had MLK, slavery, ‘sexual union’, a gospel preacher, a divorcee bride, Kate giving Camilla side-eye, Eugenie working for Pan Am and Harry saying he’s ‘sh***ing it’.

"This is the best wedding ever."

Meanwhile @charlhale01 said: "Prince Harry saying “I’m sh***ing it” is my highlight of the year."

Stephanie Du Par joked: "Can’t decide if Prince Harry said “I’m lucky” or 'I’m sh***ing it'. But both answers are great."

The groom had appeared visibly nervous as he sat alongside his best man and older brother William in the run-up to the arrival of the bride for her induction into the royal family.

The landmark marriage saw US actor Meghan become the first mixed-race member of the royal family in a sign of the changing face of the monarchy in the 21st century.
