Robbie's hairdresser is found dead

12 April 2012

Robbie Williams' hair stylist has been found dead in woodland near the pop star's mansion, it has emerged.

Hairdresser Aaron Vickers, 25, was discovered by a teenager on a pathway which cuts through woodland near Swindon, Wiltshire.

It is understood Mr Vickers, of Cassini Drive, Oakhurst, once lived in a cabin on Williams' property in nearby Compton Bassett, but had recently moved back in with his mother.

Wiltshire Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Colleagues and friends paid tribute to the hairdresser, who was working at Knock-em-Dead hairdressers in Swindon.

Owner Mick Green told the Swindon Advertiser the staff were devastated.

He said: "Aaron was a larger than life character who touched everyone he met. When we all found out everyone was devastated, we closed the shop and went home.

"He was so popular, vibrant and super creative; this is such a waste. He had a big clientele and was always very busy."

It is understood Mr Vickers first cut Williams' hair when he met the singer in Los Angeles. The star bought his 71-acre, 18th century Wiltshire mansion in January this year.

A Swindon police spokesman said: "It is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death but as inquiries are still ongoing it would not be appropriate to comment further."
