Prince Harry joked with a red-headed royal fan who asked him how “a ginger” had ended up engaged to a star like Meghan Markle.
Harry appeared completely unfazed by the question and laughed as he replied: “It’s great, isn’t it!”
When the man then said the word “unbelievable?” Harry responded: “Unbelievable.”
The couple were greeted by more than a thousand cheering people in Nottingham, eager for a glimpse of them after they announced their engagement on Monday.

Crowds — many desperate to snatch a photo of the American actress on their phones — braved freezing conditions to see the couple during their first royal outing on Wednesday.
They waited several deep behind steel barriers for hours to catch a glimpse of Harry, 33, and his future wife, 36. Many waved American flags as well as British ones, while others brought congratulations cards for the couple.
Harry took to one side of the street and Ms Markle the other during the walkabout, chatting to scores of people.
People were chanting their names and Meghan responded to kind messages with 'thank you' and 'I really appreciate that' and the star kept resting her hand on her fiance's back in a repeated loving and reassuring gesture.
The couple’s engagements in Nottingham included a visit to the National Justice Museum, a Terrence Higgins Trust World AIDS Day charity fair and a visit to Nottingham Academy.
The city was selected as their first engagement as Harry has been there several times for his charity work since 2013, and set up the Full Effect programme, which helps young people avoid falling into crime, there.
